Concrete Primer

The Concrete Primer ensures excellent adhesion of the thermoplastic strips onto concrete or old bitumen, thereby increasing the life of road marking. Being quick drying and easy to apply, no significant time under-runs are expected to owe to primer application.

Method of Use:

• Clean the road surface thoroughly removing all dust, oil, grease, paint and thermoplastic material.  
• Ensure the road surface is completely dry and free from moisture.
• Cold and humid conditions require longer drying time. Such conditions should be avoided.

Method of Application:

• Once the substrate has been inspected, it normally needs to be pre-treated. The necessary quantity of hardener must be adjusted in light of the temp. of the surface.
• You must not dose less than the given quantity of hardening powder.
• Permark 2K primer must be applied evenly without leaving piddles by means of paint roller or brush. If rubber blades are used, the surface must always be rolled with paint roller afterward. Mixing Ratio.
• If settling is observed in the drum, loosen the settled material with the help of hand stirrer followed by a power-driven stirrer for quick homogenous mixing.
